The High Tor Players return on 11th May with their comedy, Habeas Corpus.
The Players tell us:
”This is Alan Bennett at his comedic best. Mismanaged lust – mistaken identity – dropped trousers…Habeas Corpus has all the ingredients of a classic farce, spiced with the warmth and humanity of Alan Bennett’s razor-sharp wit.
”In a satirical merry-go-round, we meet a family and acquaintances for whom the determination to put sex and the satisfactions of the body before everything else is the ruling passion of their lives. A farcical comedy in which the characters move about through a maze of mistaken identities and sexual encounters.”
The Players are starting at the hall on the first night of a three date mini tour:
- 11th May – Ashover Parish Hall
- 12th May – Bakewell Town Hall
- 13th May – Wirksworth Town Hall
The play starts at 7.30pm each night and tickets cost £8 – please tel: 01629 733407
